More than a breakfast food - Special K is coming!

You may know him best as the “Special Correspondent” and featured personality doing the “Top 5” and “News U Absolutely Cannot Use” on the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show, but there is so much more to comedian “Special K”. More and more, it is becoming apparent that Karl “Special K” Douglas is without a doubt one of America’s funniest, and most versatile comics on the circuit.

A natural entertainer, Special K is able to seamlessly merge thought-provoking, edgy, and relevant topics into a hilariously funny package. His charisma, stage presence, and razor sharp wit are sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats and the tips of their toes.

It has been an interesting journey getting to this stage, a story that started on another stage. Karl Douglas began his career as a male exotic entertainer, later getting involved in activities that landed him on the wrong side of law and eventually spending a little more than a year in a Federal Prison Camp. That was the year 2000. Now, more than a decade later, no trace of that misguided person remains. A family man, married and raising 4 children, he is a shining example of one who learned from bad decisions and turned his negatives into a positive. Redemption is the word. “Special K” emerged with an appreciation for life, freedom, a new outlook, and a determination to succeed.

In addition to being a headlining national comedian, he does motivational speaking for at-risk youth, he’s a budding actor who has tackled the small and big screens, and since 2007 has been the head writer, assistant producer, and personality on the country’s hottest radio morning show, the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. He has also self-published a hilarious self-help book "100 Problems, 100 Solutions", that has sold several thousand copies. There is truly something special about “Special K”.
