Donnell Rawlings Hits StarDome Comedy Club March 6-9

Donnell Rawlings is an overnight success a decade in the making. You’ve seen him on Comedy Central’s

award winning and critically celebrated Chappelle’s Show as ‘Ashy Larry’, the 70’s jheri curled ‘Beautiful’, and numerous other characters he’s played. Donnell is the franchise player Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan wanted as a writer and prime time player on their team. Since Dave Chappelle had business to take care of in Africa, Donnell was asked to step into the huge shoes Dave left behind, and host the Lost Episodes. “Hilarious” is what Linda Stasi of The New York Post calls Donnell’s performance as host.

His unique brand of observational humor earned Donnell co-hosting duties On Power 105’s (NY’s #1 Hip Hop and R&B radio station) morning show “Egypt and Ashy in the Morning”. He is now co-hosting “The Big Tigger Morning Show” on WPGC in Washington DC. Currently, Donnell can be seen regularly on E!’s hit show “Chelsea Lately,” MTV’s new show “Hatin.’”. His new 1 Hour Stand-Up “Ashy to Classy” premiered on Comedy Central October 23, 2010 is also available in stores on DVD. He also enjoyed reprising his character of Day-Day Price on HBO’s Emmy-Award winning series “The Wire” during a 3-episode arc, during the show’s final season (2007- 2008). In 2007, Donnell co-created and starred in Heavy.com’s hit web series “From Ashy to Classy”, in which Donnell portrays the loveable yet clueless culture critic, Ashford Lawrence. The series was picked up for a second round of episodes and remains one of Heavy.com most popular shows. Additionally, Donnell has starred in “Reality Bites Back” for Comedy Central and tours heavily with his stand up dates.  

Donnell has performed his intelligently bold stand-up throughout the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean. He has appeared on award winning Law & Order series, Special Victims Unit (SVU) and Criminal Intent (CI) and has also appeared on NBC’s Third Watch and the Emmy award winning HBO Special: The Corner. Growing up, this Washington, D.C. native used humor as a means of persuasion with the ladies and whipped out his wicked wit as a weapon of mass destruction in verbal battle. While in the Air Force, Donnell’s wordplay shotdown more military personnel than the G.I. issued arms. When Donnell returned to the States and settled into civilian life, he decided to check out the local comedy scene in D.C. He quickly became the “official heckler” as he ate comedians alive from the audience.

Tim Wilson Joins Stardome Feb. 28- March 1

Tim Wilson, an American stand-up comedian and country music artist, from Columbus, Georgia is coming to perform at the Stardome Comedy Club Feb. 28 thru March 1. His act combines stand-up comedy and original songs. He has released more than a dozen comedy albums, including several for Capitol Records Nashville, and has made frequent appearances on the John Boy and Billy, Big D and Bubba and Bob and Tom Show. Wilson has also appeared on numerous television programs including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and American Revolution Country Comedy on CMT; in 1990, he also teamed with the duo of Pinkard & Bowden to write the song "Arab, Alabama," and its success convinced him to include music in his standup act.

In addition to a series of LPs for the independent Southern Tracks label, including Tough Crowd, Waking Up the Neighborhood, Low-Class Love Affair, and Tuned Up, Wilson scored a hit single with his "Garth Brooks Ruined My Life," also co-writing Jeff Foxworthy's smash "The Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas." Upon signing to Capitol, he released his major-label debut, It's a Sorry World, in early 1999; Gettin' My Mind Right followed later that same year. In 2000 he issued Hillbilly Homeboy, which was helped by the success of its first single, "The Ballad of John Rocker," and waited three years to follow it up with his first funk concept album, Super Bad Sounds of the '70s.

In 2011, Wilson appeared on CMT's Ron White's Comedy Salute to the Troops along with White, Lewis Black, Kathleen Madigan, Vic Henley, Alex Reymundo and Robert Hawkins. In 2012, Wilson appears on the Showtime Comedy Special, Billy Gardell's: Road Dogs with Billy Gardell hosting along with comedians Ben Creed and Kenny Rogerson. Wilson also produced the show's musical theme, "Back Home to You" by guitarist Scotty Bratcher.

Wendy Liebman Delivers the Best This Valentine's Day at Stardome Feb13-16!

Wendy Liebman has a very unique brand of humor that sets her apart from all other comedians. Her distinctive style includes quick, clever follow-ups after her jokes. She has been a regular on late night television including Carson, Fallon, Letterman, Kimmel, Ferguson and Leno. She has done half hour specials for HBO and Comedy Central, and her first hour long special, Wendy Liebman Taller on TV premiered on Showtime in 2011.

Wendy has been in two documentaries, The Aristocrats and The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story, and has also been featured on Larry Sanders, Women of the Night, Comic Relief VII, The Roseanne Show, Pulp Comics, 100 Worst Fashion Mistakes, The New Hollywood Squares and many more. She has received the American Comedy Award for “Best Female Comedian.”

John "Cap" Caparulo is Coming to Stardome Feb. 6-9!

John Caparulo, known to many as "Cap," got his first big breaks appearing at the 2003 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he was offered a sitcom, and on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.

 He has since appeared on The Tonight Show, was featured on Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Next Generation hosted by Bill Engvall, and was one of the comedians documented on Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Tour. He hosted Mobile Home Disaster on CMT, and played the part of 'Brian' on the short-lived ABC sitcom "Work It." He also has a comedy special that aired on Comedy Central on December 21, 2008 called "John Caparulo: Meet Cap" which was directed by Dave Higby. The special was released on CD on February 10, 2009 and on DVD on April 14, 2009.

Cap intermittently hosts "The Mad Cap Hour" radio show with his wife Jamie Caparulo, and comedian Mark Ellis on Sirius XM, toadhopnetwork.com, and iTunes. Although he is currently touring nationally, he also regularly appears on the E! show Chelsea Lately, and voices the character of 'Headphone Joe' on Disney's "Fish Hooks." Cap released his second album titled "Come Inside Me' in August, 2013.
