Comedienne. Political Satirist. Republican. Conservative. Not the first things that come to mind when you look at the beautiful and talented Sheryl Underwood. There's more to her than meets the eye. One of the most brilliant comics on the scene today, Underwood's claim to fame is that she dares to say what people are really thinking and makes no apologies for it.

Underwood's comedy career began in 1989 when she became the first female finalist in the popular Miller Lite Comedy Search. Since then her career has continued to skyrocket. Sheryl has won a number of high profile comedy competitions including Johnny Walker Red, Funniest Woman at the Improv, Old English Comedy Crunch and BET's Comic View's Funniest Female Comedian. In 1995 Underwood was named 1st runner-up in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, securing Sheryl a place in history as the first female comedian- in fact, the only comedian- to place in the competition's final round three years in a row.

With all these accomplishments on the comedy circuit, Sheryl began her next challenge - to conquer the world of television. When BET needed an additional host for their popular talk show, Oh Drama! Sheryl answered the call and was an immediate hit as the show's newest host. Audiences took instantly to her bluntness, wry humor and down to earth appeal, which lead to the creation of her own show Holla. The self-produced and created talk show based loosely on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect brings together a panel of guests with vastly different opinions to discuss politics, sex, current events and various newsworthy topic- with explosive results- moderated by Underwood, Holla airs on BET Tuesday & Thursdays at 9:30 PM.

She also supports a number of worthy causes, including founding the African-American Female Comedian Association.

Last Comic Standing winner Jon Reep at the StarDome this weekend!

American actor and stand-up comedian John Reep was born on March 26, 1972 in Hickory, North Carolina. He is the winner of the fifth season of the NBC reality talent contest Last Comic Standing. While attending Fred T. Foard High School, Reep participated in sports and was a member of the football team. He was given the batch award of class clown, following in his father’s footsteps.

Jon graduated from North Carolina State University 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Mass Communication, and Public & Personal communication. A year later, he hit the road as a full-time traveling comic, and that was the end of his life as a normal human being. In 2000, he moved to Los Angeles to try his hand at an acting career.

As an actor he's played, "Raymus" from the movie Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay, and the dim witted cop "Gerald Bob" from the ABC Sitcom Rodney. But you probably would most readily recognize him as the Dodge Truck's commercial's "Hemi guy". You remember, the red-headed guy who leans out of a beat-up car and utters the now famous line: "That thing gotta Hemi?

But before all that he was already one of the hardest working comics in America, selling out clubs and getting standing ovations at college after college across the country. Jon has been on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", the half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep",TBS's "Pit Stop Comedy", NBC's "Late Friday", CMT's "Comedy Club" & "Comedy stage." He has performed at the Montreal "Just for Laughs" Festival in 1999 & 2004, and in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival in 2005 and the Bonaroo Music & Arts Festival 2006. Most recently, he headlined a club during the Vancouver Comedy Festival in 2009. His show is supersonic energy filled with non-stop characters and super clever writing. Aside from his work in comedy, he also co-created the website SmallTownNation.com.

What’s the best way to describe Etta May? “Minnie Pearl with a migraine.” To put it simply, when Etta May takes the stage, she is the reigning Queen of Southern Sass. She reflects “You know you’re getting fat when you sit in the bathtub and the water in the toilet rises!”

Born and raised in Bald Knob, Arkansas, Etta May grew up alongside nine older brothers, who referred to their baby sister as “the human sacrifice.” In fact, Etta May’s parents - her father, a potpourri farmer, and her mother, bedridden by constant childbearing, - did not realize Etta May was a girl until she required a training bra.

Etta May met her husband, Delbert, an aspiring truck driver, at a friend’s kegger. From across the yard their eyes locked in a love look. Nine months later, she was blessed with a boy, followed by a girl and two more boys. “That’s where my comedy comes from. I just wait for my husband or kids to do something stupid, and then I write it down.”

Through the years, Etta May had a string of dead end jobs. She faithfully drove a school bus for over 10 years. She says she learned how to handle unruly kids by Armor All-ing the seats, and touching the brakes, all the way home. One night, while volunteering as a BINGO caller, she recalls, “the ball sucker got stuck, and I was forced to entertain a room full of angry Catholics. It was then I realized I could make people laugh.” Etta May will take you on a redneck ride through the Deep South.

Etta May won the prestigious American Comedy Awards: “Stand-Up Comic of the Year,” and has appeared on Oprah, Comic Strip Live, MTV, and as a guest commentator on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

In addition to television, Etta May is a regular on the syndicated Bob & Tom radio show and XM Radio’s comedy channels.

Bobby Collins is bringing his "stress busting" laughter to the StarDome January 27-29!

Bobby Collins has a job that people always laugh at. As one of today's leading and most sought-after comedic talents, his heartfelt humor engages audiences with a clever blend of characterizations and hilarious observations that everyone can relate to.

He takes the funny business very seriously -- from starring in his own Showtime Special and being Rosie O'Donnell's predecessor pick to host VH1's "Stand-up Spotlight," to opening for such names as Cher, Dolly Parton, Julio Inglesis and Tony Bennett, to name a few. Topping Collins' first comedy CD "On The Inside" that showcased his wide-ranging observational material, his second "Out Of Bounds," earned a Grammy nomination. While live stage performances in New York, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City are forever expanding his list of faithful followers, he has also appeared in five feature films and numerous television shows. Growing up in a large family in a rough neighborhood of Queens, NY, Collins knew he wanted to be a comedian when everyone gathered to watch the Ed Sullivan show and the laughs never ceased. "At school I was a total class clown," he recalls. "I used my wit and humor to get out of fights and doing homework."

One could say comedy was Collins' destiny. He was named after his father's favorite comedian, Bob Hope. "I've never seen Bob Hope perform. But when I was appearing in Philadelphia for the first time, a newspaper reporter from New York City caught my act and liked it so much he decided put me on the cover of the paper's weekend section. Lost in the cover's corner was a tiny picture of Bob Hope. While I was visiting with friends in the local restaurant, a black limousine pulled up and the driver handed me a manila envelope. Inside was a signed photo of Bob Hope along with a note saying 'how dare you get top billing on a weekend,' with a happy face written in. I still have it to this day," he said.

Collins has a way about him that commands attention and exudes confidence. Tall, with dark, curly hair, his gift of gab landed him a job with Calvin Klein when a company executive saw Collins sell Klein's wife some jewelry at the Garment Center in Manhattan. One year later, at age 26 he was atop the corporate ranks as vice president for the fashion company, all the while moonlighting as a comic.

Breaking into the comedy circuit came when, after chatting up the bartender at Manhattan's premiere comedy club, Collins found himself on stage at Catch A Rising Star. He continued to hone his skills until finally arriving on the Las Vegas scene. He gave up Calvin Klein to realize his passion as a comedian, and it's been a riot ever since. "Making someone laugh for a few minutes of their day is a very gratifying experience," Collins says. "They may be going through a difficult time in their life and may not have laughed for quite awhile. I appreciate those moments when I help make a difference by connecting in a positive way." With reverence to his favorite entertainment icons, he describes his comedic style as a combination of the physical movement of Jerry Lewis, the sleek, good looks of Dean Martin, and the heart of George Burns.

Collins hopes to continue doing what he loves -- performing. Whether its clubs or corporate gatherings, it's non stop laughter. He says,"Laughing can be a stress reliever. And when I interact with the audience, they see new things about their everyday world that make them smile. It's a release."

Plans for a network sitcom are in the process, but for now Collins gets pleasure from spreading laughter and being a dedicated family man residing in California with his wife and two young children. An avid basketball player, he hits the hard court whenever time allows.

Greg Morton brings his elastic wit to the StarDome through January 21st!

Greg Morton had only two choices in schoolyard conflicts. Learn the ways of the force, or use his wit to diffuse the situation. That wit would lead to winning first prize in the, ‘So You Think You’re Funny Contest and the beginning of his career as a stand-up comic.

Greg has been described as having an "animated presence." Not surprising when you read his credentials. As a graduate of animation, Greg worked as an animator on such shows as the Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show and the New Flintstones for Hanna Barbara. His voice-over talents can be heard on such shows as Robocop and Police Academy, (the cartoon series). He has directed several Saturday morning cartoon hits including ABC's Hannerman (based on MC Hammer) and The Legend of White Fang which appeared on HBO. Finally he had found his voice. A voice he would later use to direct and voice over twenty Saturday Morning cartoons.

At the age 16, he combined his love of music with comedy skits to become Greg Morton, That Crazy DJ. A cadre of costumed characters and animated antics coaxed people onto the dance floor and became his signature style. A style dubbed by Las Vegas Magazine as completely entertaining.

In 1985 Morton ventured into the world of stand-up comedy. Since then, he has worked throughout the US, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He has opened for numerous celebrities, including Celine Dion, Dionne Warwick, and Harry Connick Jr. He has been heard on the nationally syndicated radio program, The Bob & Tom Show, and he regularly appears in Las Vegas and Atlantic City showrooms. Greg was one of the featured performers at The Just For Laughs, Comedy Festival in Montreal in summer of 2001. His two-minute rendition of the Star Wars Trilogy and his show-stopping finale of pop star impersonations,(described by many club owners as the best closer in the business), are two highlights that should not be missed. This former mobile disc jockey who used to play songs at weddings, now sings song parodies on nationally syndicated radio shows, like the Bob and Tom Show. His song Obama Man, sung to the tune of Candy Man has racked up over 4 million hits on YouTube.

Bill Burr is an American comedian who grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and did fairly poorly in school, despite the fact that he applied himself.

Having first gained notoriety for his recurring role on the second season of Chappelle's Show, Bill developed a comedic style of uninformed logic that has made him a regular with Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon.

On November 11, Bill received a standing ovation for his sold out show at Carnegie Hall and the following night he received the prestigious Comedian of the Year Award from the Boston Comedy Festival; previous recipients include Steven Wright, Denis Leary and Lewis Black. Bill is selling out theaters internationally and just returned from his second theater tour of Europe playing to standing ovations and rave reviews in London, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm.

Bill was just seen in two episodes of the hit AMC-TV show, Breaking Bad and he was a contributing writer for the 2011 ESPYS hosted by Seth Meyers.

In April, Bill's short film, Cheat, had its World Premiere at The Tribeca Film Festival and in July the film screened at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Bill produced, co-wrote and stars in the film with fellow comedians Joe DeRosa and Robert Kelly. Based on a true story, the film follows three friends on a mission to pull off the perfect score.

One of the most popular comedy podcasts on the web, Bill's Monday Morning Podcast, is an off-the-cuff weekly rant that has become a fan favorite. Bill began the podcast in May of 2007 and has produced more than 200 episodes.

Bill's second hour Comedy Central special, Bill Burr: Let It Go, premiered on September 19, 2010 to rave reviews and was released on DVD and as a digital audio download. The unedited version of the special is now available on Netflix. The special was recorded in December 2009 at The Fillmore in San Francisco and captures the comic at the peak of his skills.

American semi-retired professional wrestler, author, comedian, actor, voice actor and former color commentator. He has worked for many wrestling promotions, including WWE, WCW, ECW and TNA. He is often referred to as "The Hardcore Legend", a nickname he shares with Terry Funk. He is currently signed to WWE. Throughout his wrestling career, Foley has wrestled both under his real name and under various personas (most notably Dude Love, Cactus Jack and Mankind).

He is a four-time World Champion (three WWF Championships, and one TNA World Heavyweight Championship). He is an 11-time Tag Team Champion (eight WWF Tag Team Titles, two ECW Tag Team Titles, and one WCW World Tag Team Championship). He was also the first WWF Hardcore Champion, and held the TNA Legends (now Television) Championship once. Following his retirement from wrestling full-time, Foley appeared occasionally with WWE as a special guest referee and later as a color commentator for the SmackDown brand. Upon his departure from WWE in 2008, he signed with TNA, where he was a storyline stock holder of the company. All totaled, Foley has won 17 championships between WCW, ECW, WWF/E, and TNA.

Tim Wilson brings his comedy and music talents to the StarDome!

Born August 5, 1961 in Columbus Georgia. Parents were school teachers so Tim Wilson grew up on mustard sandwiches, playing Little League baseball and Pop Warner football and making straight A's in School. "I grew up listening to a ton of AM radio during the commute back and forth to games and I memorized most of the records that played on two jukeboxes at a Tom's Foods employee swimming camp where my father and older brother were lifeguards for about sixteen years. That was my musical training."

A born ham, he developed a talent for doing impressions of teachers and anybody he saw on television which got him involved in numerous talent shows. "My mother would take me to her school sometimes and I would entertain her classes with this act I had put together. I actually did my first pro show when I was about 11 at some soldier at Fort Bennings' birthday party and I got paid 15 dollars for it, which was double what we would all later get paid at The Improv in New York."

Tim was a born funnyman, delivering dead-on impressions of his teachers while still in elementary school; he later MC'ed his high school's talent shows, but after taking up guitar as a teen he instead aspired to a career in music. Tim started writing songs about all the girls who wouldn't go out with him. There were a lot of songs! Tim decided he wanted to be in the music business. "I was playing football and running track and dragging around a guitar and listening to every record I could get my hands on. Eventually I became a huge fan of Clapton and a bunch of Southern Rock groups: mainly Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Atlanta Rhythm Section."

Wilson attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina as an English major. While in college he accepted a job as a sportswriter, later convincing his editors to allow him to review local concerts as well; at an Atlanta Rhythm Section date, Wilson passed along his demo tape to the group's drummer, Roy Yeager, who agreed to produce a session at his Georgia studio. "So I'm renting this bullshit apartment in Atlanta, but mostly sleeping on Dean Daughtry of ARS's couch, working a job at a one hour eye wear store that Roy's wife Laine had found for me and I drive this girl I work with home one day and pass something I'd never heard of: A COMEDY CLUB. I show up on open mic night and am informed that you can make more money telling jokes than you can selling glasses. So I go up and do three jokes I'd written and my impression of Richard Pryor's MudBone. I meet my manager Chris DiPetta the same night and here we go. Suddenly Songwriter Boy is a Comedy Man."

Tim has been in a series of television spots, including an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; in 1990, he also teamed with the duo of Pinkard & Bowden to write the song "Arab, Alabama," and its success convinced him to include music in his standup act. In addition to a series of LPs for the independent Southern Tracks label, including Tough Crowd, Waking Up the Neighborhood, Low-Class Love Affair, and Tuned Up, Wilson scored a hit single with his "Garth Brooks Ruined My Life," also co-writing Jeff Foxworthy's smash "The Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas." Upon signing to Capitol, he released his major-label debut, It's a Sorry World, in early 1999; Gettin' My Mind Right followed later that same year. In 2000 he issued Hillbilly Homeboy, which was helped by the success of its first single, "The Ballad of John Rocker," and waited three years to follow it up with his first funk concept album, Super Bad Sounds of the '70s. Three more traditional albums -- Church League Softball Fistfight (2005), But I Could Be Wrong (2007), and Mr. Wilson Explains America (2009) -- followed.

Craig Ferguson...Television host, stand-up comedian, writer, actor, director, author, and producer. He is the host of the Emmy Award-nominated, Peabody Award-winning late-night talk show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, on CBS. In addition to hosting that program and performing stand-up comedy, Ferguson has written two books: Between the Bridge and the River, a novel, and American on Purpose, a memoir. Craig became a citizen of the United States in 2008. One of Scotland's most acclaimed comedians, he first became known to American audiences as Nigel Wick, Drew Carey's evil boss on The Drew Carey Show. A fixture of the series from 1995, Ferguson won over film audiences four years later with his portrayal of Crawford Mackenzie, an indefatigable but naïve hairdresser intent on competing in the World Freestyle Hairstyling Competition in the mock-documentary The Big Tease.

Originally hailing from Glasgow, Ferguson started out as a musician, but gradually segued into comedy via the stage and television. He earned great popularity as the star of a series of self-titled specials on the BBC, and also received positive notices as the lead of the West End revival of The Rocky Horror Pictures Show and Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, which was staged at the Edinburgh Festival. By the mid-'90s, Ferguson decided it was time to move on, to set his sights on grander schemes, and duly moved to L.A. Upon his arrival, he found himself being forced to masticate a particularly large slab of humble pie, as the charm and wit that had earned him so many fans back home did little but translate to open casting calls and endless auditions in Hollywood.

Ferguson's luck began to change when he landed the role of Mr. Wick on The Drew Carey Show and he was able to use his initial hard-luck experiences in L.A. as the basis for The Big Tease, which, in addition to starring in, he wrote and executive produced with Sacha Gervasi. The film, which also starred Frances Fisher and contained a pivotal cameo by Carey, was relatively well-received by critics and enjoyed a fairly successful commercial release. Ferguson followed The Big Tease in 2000 with Saving Grace, a comedy about a financially imperiled woman (Brenda Blethyn) who takes to growing pot with her gardener (Ferguson) to pay off the debts left to her by her late husband. The film, which Ferguson also co-wrote and co-produced, found a warm reception amongst critics and audiences, and succeeded in introducing its Scottish lead to a wider audience. That same year, he further increased his recognition with a substantial role in Chain of Fools, a crime comedy featuring a large ensemble cast that included Salma Hayek, Steve Zahn, Jeff Goldblum, and David Hyde Pierce.

Birmingham's Heath Hyche is back to entertain this December!

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Heath Hyche was bitten by the acting bug when he wore a giant orange costume as his high school’s mascot, even though the school’s nickname was the Vikings. His first big break came when he was at Auburn University and won “The Funniest Person on Campus” contest.

Heath's show can best be described as a high-energy sketch show. Quick-change costumes, original music, sound effects, and cleverly constructed props and scenery, enable Heath to take the audience on a journey through his vivid imagination to meet a cavalcade of manic characters. Crowd favorites include Spartacus Dunkleburger's 85 yard touchdown in a 1937 college All-Star Bowl game, to a modern day fire and brimstone revival with the charismatic, Reverend Jonah Dean Coolidge.

From there Hyche performed at an open-mic audition at the Birmingham Comedy Club and has been a working standup ever since. After being discovered by an agent during a gig at the Comedy Store in LA, his first television role was on Roseanne’s “Saturday Night Special.” The neophyte found himself auditioning for the female comedy legend who cast him on the show. Soon, Hyche was back in Alabama, preparing for a cross-country drive and trying to figure out what a “table read” is.

Other credits include an appearance on Two Guys and a Girl, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and These Old Broads, with Shirley MacLaine, Joan Collins, Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds and Jonathan Silverman. He was a regular on Style and Substance, with Jean Smart and Nancy McKeon. Recent pilots include Jack’s House and a leading role in Mark of Greatness. On the big screen, Hyche appeared in the films Man on the Moon and The Odd Couple II. Hyche is single and lives in LA, where he collects toys from his childhood, including Star Wars memorabilia.

Comedian Patrice O'Neal passes away at 41 years young.

We are sad to report the death of Patrice O’Neal.

The booking agent for Patrice O'Neal has confirmed to CNN that the comedian and entertainer died Tuesday morning following an illness. He was 41.

"Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius," O'Neal's agent says in a statement. "His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side."

O'Neal's passing was due to complications from a stroke O'Neal suffered on October 19. According to People magazine, the stroke was related to diabetes.

The magazine adds that Opie (a.k.a. Gregg Hughes) of SiriusXM's "Opie and Anthony" show also confirmed the death, tweeting of the radio program's frequent guest Tuesday, "Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I've ever known PERIOD. #devastated."

By the age of six George Wallace wanted to be a comedian, but knew he first needed an education. He attended college at the University of Akron, Ohio. Upon graduating with degrees in transportation and marketing, George entered the advertising work force. Still, George’s dream of being a comedian had a strong hold on him. Within a week of leaving the advertising field, he began to perform stand-up comedy and was offered a job writing for “The Red Foxx Show.”

George won an American Comedy Award for “Best Stand Up Comedian” after being continually nominated four years in a row. Carlos Mencia is undoubtedly one of today's most popular entertainers and comics. Whether it is man-on-the-street interviews, studio comedy, commercial parodies, nationwide sold-out tours, or films, Mencia demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect with a wide and diverse audience.

Mencia comes from a humble background, born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the 17th of 18 children. His parents sent him to the United States when he was about three months old, where he was raised in Maravilla Projects in Los Angeles, California by his aunt and uncle. In his early teens, Mencia moved back to Honduras because his family wanted him to avoid the destructive gang culture of East Los Angeles. When Mencia later returned to Los Angeles, he showed such educational prowess that he was immediately promoted to the tenth grade. Soon after, he successfully graduated from Garfield High School.

Mencia began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the comedy club, Laugh Factory. He later showcased at The Comedy Store and became a regular, performing nightly. After he found success on the L.A comedy circuit, Mencia was named "International Comedy Grand Champion" from Buscando Estrellas (the Latino version of Star Search). This led to appearances on "In Living Color," "The Arsenio Hall Show," "Moesha" and "An Evening at the Improv." In 1994, he hosted the HBO comedy series "Loco Slam" and in 1998 he hosted "Funny is Funny!" on Galavision. Mencia released a comedy album in 2000 called "Take a Joke, America" that showcased his brand of humor.

Mencia continued his journey up the comedy ladder by headlining "The Three Amigos" tour with Freddy Soto and Pablo Francisco in 2002, which sold out in record time around the United States. He was also featured in the independent films, "Outta Time" and "29 Palms" and starred in guest spots on "The Shield" and "The Bernie Mac Show," among others. In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special for his HBO special. That same year, Mencia was featured on "Comedy Central Presents." Mencia remained busy and after the success of his solo dvd, "Carlos Mencia: Not For The Easily Offended," "Mind of Mencia" went into development. The show was an instant hit and after the first season, Comedy Central signed Mencia back for his own original stand-up special, "Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached." The special was the first Comedy Central Stand-up Special DVD to achieve Platinum sales status.

"Mind of Mencia" debuted on Comedy Central in early 2005. It became one of the strongest shows in the network's history, averaging about 1.5 million total viewers. "Mind of Mencia" was executive produced by Carlos Mencia and Robert Morton ("Late Night with David Letterman").

In the summer of 2007, Mencia starred opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in the Farrelly Brothers' hit feature film, THE HEARTBREAK KID (DreamWorks). In the fall of that year Mencia headlined a nationwide comedy tour titled "Carlos Mencia Live Presented by Bud Light." The highly anticipated tour brought Mencia face-to-face with his fans from September 2007 through December 2007. Shortly thereafter, Mencia taped a new comedy special for Comedy Central, "Carlos Mencia: Performance Enhanced," that aired in May 2008.

Since 2007, every holiday season Mencia has embarked on a USO Tour to the Persian Gulf to entertain the troops serving overseas. For his 2008 trip, Mencia visited Kuwait to host "Operation MySpace," an exclusive concert for American Troops in the Middle East alongside Jessica Simpson and The Pussycat Dolls. The special aired on FX in April 2008. Mencia's 2009 USO tour had stops in Turkey, Kirkuk, Baghdad, Qatar, Afghanistan, and many other countries.

In July 2008, Mencia began his tour, "At Close Range" at Red Rock Amphitheatre in Colorado. The tour was sponsored by Bud Light and co-promoted by Icon Entertainment and Live Nation. Larger than all of his previous tours, Mencia performed in 80 cities across the country. In the summer of 2009, he kicked off a nationwide comedy tour entitled "The Administration of Laughter" which brought him to excited audiences all around the country.

Mencia starred in the family comedy OUR FAMILY WEDDING (FOX Searchlight) alongside America Ferrara and Forrest Whitaker. The film was released to theatres nationwide on March 12th, 2010.

In the last couple years, Mencia chose to go back to his comedic roots, performing at a number of comedy stores throughout the country - allowing him to share his newest material with smaller and more intimate audiences. This Cowboy Promises Big Laughs and Has a Heart of Gold...

Comedian Cowboy Bill Martin has built a loyal following of fans from coast to coast the old fashioned way – by working the road.   The Texas native headlines all of the most prestigious clubs and theaters across the U.S. and Canada. Martin has also toured with country music’s elite including George Strait, legendary singer, George Jones on an 18 city tour of Canada and was part of the CMT Most Wanted Live Tour with Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Chris Cagle.

Plus, the screenwriter/comedian just got back, not too long ago, from headlining a tour in the Middle East for our Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan on the Red, White and a little Bluer Tour. In addition, he dedicates one show a week to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness.

But don’t let the name fool you. Critic Punch Shaw of The Fort Worth Star Telegram says, "Martin is not your typical country-cowboy comic. There’s no talk about trailer parks or inbreeding. Sure he wears cowboy garb on stage and he speaks with a Texas accent but his comedy touches people of all cultures. In performance, he’s apt to remind you of Gary Busey with an edge. That is especially applicable, when Martin flashes a toothy grin and gives a gee-whiz shrug of his broad shoulders."

When asked if he is a real cowboy, Martin said, “The only word I don’t like being called is a redneck and I will tell you why. I was probably 9 years old and I came home crying. I said, ‘daddy they were calling me a redneck at school.’ He said, ‘boy, you are a cowboy’.   I said, ‘what’s the difference?’ He said, ‘acreage!’”

Martin says while his humor is based on real life, he tries not to take himself too seriously. But admits there are two spots in the show that he puts comedy aside for a brief moment and that is first, his dedication with his clothing provider, Ariat Western Wear to promote his Pink Out Cowboy Program for Breast Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Koman Fund. And second, for his support for our Armed Forces.

In nearly every performance; Martin toasts to the military. And although he has never served, Martin says he does so, not for a cheap applause break but because of a special Military coin that he carries in his right pocket on stage for every show.

Martin explains, "I was doing a show in Oklahoma City a couple of years ago and this kid, I say kid because he couldn't have been more than 22 years old, walks up to me and says, 'Hey Man, I want to give you something.'   And then he says to me, 'A buddy of mine and I went to elementary, middle school and high school together. We enlisted in the Marine Corp. on the same day, went to boot camp together and then got sent to Iraq together on the “Buddy Program. And then he looked at me and said, ‘and I wanted you to know that he was killed 3 months ago and I haven't laughed since…until tonight, here at your show.' And then he handed me a gold recruiting Sergeant Majors coin and said, 'and I want to give you this recruiting coin because you gave me back the laughter."

And ever since then, Martin does not hit the stage without it. Martin adds, "I want people to come to the show and have a great time. Heck, I want them to laugh so hard they pee a little. But in the end, that coin reminds me that no matter what life throws at you, laughter is still the key.”

You see, this guy doesn't see things the way you and I do. He is very serious about what he sees and what he says. His on-stage charisma and strong conviction help sell his position. It is the interpretation that makes him so unique. His tremendous national appeal has been evidenced with stellar performances on BET's Comic View.

He won top honors as "Comedian of the Year" for the 1995-1996 season. As a result, he was awarded the hosting job of the nationally televised cable daily strip, beginning in the fall of 1996. Recently named by Entertainment Weekly as one of the top 10 comics to watch, rapidly rising comedy sensation Pete Correale brings his keen eye for the humor found in daily life to Comedy Central with his first-ever special, “The Things We Do For Love.” The show debuts on Saturday, May 30 at 11 PM (Eastern and Pacific times).

Praised for his “brash and energetic” humor by the Anchorage Daily News, Correale is a veteran of the comedy club and festival circuit as well as television talk shows like “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with David Letterman” and “Last Call with Carson Daily,” and co-hosted the Sirius satellite radio show “Breuer Unleashed” with former “Saturday Night Live” star Jim Breuer for four years. The Long Island native began his comedy career after graduating from college in 1992 and moving to New York City, where he cooked hamburgers and mopped floors at the New York Comedy Club in exchange for stage time late in the night to hone his act. He quickly rose to headliner status and began making his living as a comedian.

One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the feature film and television arena.

D.L. has appeared in the Aaron Sorkin drama series for NBC "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and released a one-hour comedy special on HBO entitled "Unapologetic." In addition, you will find D.L. hosting the new BET hidden camera reality series, "S.O.B. Socially Offensive Behavior." The show is described by BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin as a show that uses "hidden cameras to test the value systems of people." Bruce Bruce is a name synonymous with keeping audiences rolling with laughter thanks to his captivating improv skills and larger than life comedic style. Bruce’s comedy can actually be traced back to when he was working as a chef directly out of high school. He would entertain his customers with his humor while cooking up mean BBQ dishes. Eventually, Bruce brought his comedy routine to the Comedy Act Theater in Atlanta and was an instant hit. Mike E Winfield grew up in the inner city of Baltimore, MD. In his years of school, his teachers always selected him as the master of ceremonies despite his shy demeanor. The confidence to be in front of large groups was created.

Later he discovered he could share his humor, in the likings of a college speech class in Sacramento, California, unintentionally. He shared speeches daily. There was nothing humorous written within these speeches, but he somehow seemed to entertain students and staff in a comedic fashion, and that’s when he realized he had the gift. The local open mic was once a week on Tuesdays and he never missed a night, often putting other aspects of his life to the side.

Rodney Carrington's unique brand of stand-up comedy and music has come to television. After over fifteen years of bustin' guts and leaving a trail of dust behind him on his non-stop stand-up comedy tour across America, and four chart-topping CDs (which have collectively sold over a million copies), Carrington has firmly carved out his niche in the history of comedy.

How Carrington got from his childhood beginnings as a shy kid who didn't think much of school to arenas full of people that pay money to hear him sing and tell jokes is a tale that could fill volumes. Although the story is a dream come true for him, Carrington never set out to be a comedian. While he was in junior college, he became involved in the theater program, and he realized that he not only liked acting, people actually thought he was good at it. From there it was a random whim that made him jump on stage at an open-mic night at a comedy club, and the rest, as they say, is history. Acting was put on the back burner in favor of stand-up comedy, but not permanently.

A native of Longview, TX, Rodney built a cult following through his regular exposure on syndicated morning radio shows, at the same time relentlessly touring the nation's comedy club circuit. His debut LP, Hangin' with Rodney, appeared in mid-1998; Rodney Carrington: Live followed a year later and Morning Wood in mid-2000. After the 2003 release Nut Sack, Carrington landed his own sitcom on the ABC network. Simply titled Rodney, it ran for two seasons from 2004 to 2006. The 2007 album King of the Mountains made the Top 20 on Billboard's Country Albums chart and then, in 2008, Rodney co-starred and co-wrote the feature film Beer for My Horses with Toby Keith. Keith would produce El Niño Loco, Carrington's first all-song album, which was released in 2009. By the end of that year he released the mostly serious Make It Christmas, his first holiday album.

Gary Owen. The Only White Man to Win The Funniest Black Comedian.

Gary Owen has been entertaining America for over a decade with his side-splitting comedy performing in all of the major comedy rooms across America. More recently Owen headlined in the ever popular, Mike Epps Presents: Live from the Club Nokia which is currently airing on Showtime. Owen can also been seen in the scene stealing role of “Bearcat” in MGM’s Movie COLLEGE.

Owen joined the cast of Tyler Perry’s extremely successful HOUSE OF PAYNE. Perry met Owen on the Tom Joyner Morning Show (on which Owen is a regular) and immediately knowing he wanted to work with him, Perry wrote Owen into the show as the new barber, Zach. Additionally, Owen has been seen in such films as LITTLE MAN with the Wayans Brothers, REBOUND, and DADDY DAY CARE with Eddie Murphy.

Owen was always the class clown growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. After high school, he got serious and enlisted in the Navy. He was chosen for the prestigious Presidential Honor Guard. However, spinning rifles and carrying flags for George Bush and Bill Clinton turned out to be the wrong job for a funny guy. "I was always smiling," he remembers, "I got yelled at for smiling all the time."

After leaving his ceremonial position, Owen became a military police officer at the Naval Installations on Coronado Island in San Diego, but he says he was too much of a pushover to be a cop. Owen only made two arrests in three years, but during that time he embarked on his true calling: stand-up comedy. One night while hanging with his service buddies, Owen worked up the nerve to go at a nightclub. After only a year of doing stand-up, he was named "Funniest Serviceman in America."

Owen continued doing stand-up in San Diego, and had a huge African American fan base. He went onto win the "Funniest Black Comedian in San Diego" contest. That led to his first big gig at the Comedy Store in Hollywood.

Then in July of 1997 he auditioned for BET's COMICVIEW. Two appearances on the multi-cultural comedy showcase won him his own one-hour "Grandstand" show. At the end of the season he was selected from the year’s four "Grandstanders" to be the host. Not only is Owen the only white man to have ever hosted COMICVIEW, but he is the only white on-air personality the network has ever had.

Cho, who is of Korean American descent, was raised in Knoxville and went into stand-up comedy in 1986. He attended University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1989 to pursue his career, but always with the intent of returning to his roots in Tennessee.

Cho often uses his childhood experiences as an Asian American in the South in his comedy. "I'm an Asian with a Southern accent," remarks Cho, "To a lot of people, that right there is funny."

From the start of his career, Henry Cho was determined to be more than just an Asian comic. "I wanted to be a comic--period," he asserts. And to that end, he has developed routines that work as well at the dinner table as they do at comedy clubs.

Cho got into comedy on a whim. One Monday night in 1986, he signed up for an "open mic" competition that was being taped in Knoxville for a Showtime special. "I watched the first five guys go up," he recalls, "and then I told my buddies, 'I'm gonna go up, try not to embarrass myself, and then we're out of here.' But I just destroyed the crowd. I got a standing ovation."

When Cho walked off the stage, the owner of the Funny Bone Comedy Clubs offered him a spot hosting the show for the rest of that week. By Friday, he had decided to drop out of college. A few months later, he was booked for his first nationwide tour, a six-week baptism by fire. "I've been doing it ever since," he says.

"My stand-up has always been a direct reflection of my life," Cho explains. "When I was single, I talked about single stuff. I talked about dating. When I got married, there were only a handful of stories I could move over to where I wasn't going to be disrespectful to my wife. So I developed a new routine." It was a comic windfall that his wife's family lives in Arab, Alabama. And now Cho and his wife have three kids to add stories to the mix.

Henry’s TV and film credits include appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show, CBS’s The Late, Late, Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. He served two years as host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos and had many guest roles on various network sitcoms.

Henry’s one hour Comedy Central Special, “What’s That Clickin Noise?” is currently running and he can also be heard on Sirrus, XM and Blue Collar Radio.

Some of Henry’s film credits include Universal’s McHale’s Navy with Tom Arnold and David Allen Greer; Say It Isn’t So with Heather Graham and Sally Field; and Material Girls with Hilary Duff and Angelica Houston produced by Madonna.

Henry was the keynote entertainer for The 59th Annual Radio & Television Correspondents’ Dinner attended by the Bush Administration and has worked extensively with Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood and many others. Henry’s clean comedy is so versatile that he can headline Vegas and then tour with Michael W. Smith in the same month.
Most recently Henry has inked a deal with CBS and Paramount Studios to co-create, write, co-produce with Craig Ferguson and star in his own sitcom.

Henry donated proceeds from his May performances in Opelika and Florence to the Alabama Tornado Relief. That makes him not only a stand-up comedian, but a stand up guy as well.

For over two decades, the unforgettable caricature of veteran comedian James Gregory has stood grinning: his shirt un-tucked, his arms outstretched, a carefree welcome to a down-home, hilarious comedy experience. It’s storytelling at its best. The trademark caricature is the essence of James Gregory’s comedy: rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch.

Gregory is constantly touring. He’s on the road about three days a week, forty six weeks a year. He continues to entertain sold-out crowds in theaters and comedy clubs and remains in demand for corporate events. James has been the featured entertainer for over 200 corporations, including the Coca Cola Company, Kimberly Clark Corporation, Hewlett Packard and Kroger. James has also been the featured speaker for events sponsored by various civic and church groups.

James is heard weekly on syndicated radio shows such as Rick and Bubba, John Boy and Billy and Bob and Tom. Combined, these shows are broadcast to people in over 220 cities nationwide. As a result, he now has a grass-roots following that numbers in the millions.

On his own at age 14, Arnez lied about his age to get a job at a gas station to work his way through school. Arnez wanted to be a professional baseball player. A Philadelphia Phillies Farm League pursued him, but that fell through. It was later while working as a flight attendant that Arnez discovered his comedic talent. He realized that he had the ability to keep the passengers and crew laughing and upon encouragement from friends, he made his first attempt at stand-up comedy. After that first night on stage, he knew what he wanted to do. He left his job with the airlines and made the decision to devote all of his time to a career in comedy.

The Harlem Globetrotters recruited Arnez after their scouts saw his very physical comedy routine and his local celebrity basketball game. However, Arnez suffered a minor knee injury that forced him to put his basketball career on hold.

An Atlanta native, Arnez J began working the comedy circuit in Georgia and quickly became one of "HOTLANTA's" funniest newcomers. A finalist in the 1992 "Bay Area Black Comedy Competition," Arnez was immediately noticed by the entertainment industry and was asked to make his first television appearance on Showtime's "Comedy Club Network." Numerous television appearances soon followed including recent appearances on "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show," "Louie Anderson's Comedy Showcase," Comedy Central's "Make Me Laugh," NBC's "Friday Night Videos," Russell Simmons' "Def Comedy Jam," his own BET "Comic View Grandstand 1/2 Hour Special" and many others. In 2002, Arnez J was named the host of BET's "Comic View" along with comedian Bruce Bruce.

For the last three years, he has also been a headlining comedian on the RJE Urban Comedy Cabaret Tour, which is the longest running, largest and most successful comedy tour in the nation targeted to universities and colleges.

As his career developed, Arnez J branched out into new activities. He toured with actor Billy Dee Williams in a play called The Maintenance Man, playing a nightclub owner, and he performed as an opening act for the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. Arnez J moved to Los Angeles, and film seemed to offer the best new potential avenue for his talents. He starred in the independent film Up Against the 8-Ball, and hopes to make more movies.

An entertainment career was virtually pre-ordained for Pauly Montgomery Shore. At age 4, he sat on the lap of The King himself in the company of his father, comedian Sammy Shore, who opened for Elvis during the early ’70s. Around the same time, Pauly’s mother, Mitzi, and father opened The Comedy Store on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, giving their son the rare opportunity to hang out and be inspired by such rising talents as Robin Williams, David Letterman and the late Sam Kinison, who became Pauly’s mentor. At 17, Pauly began writing and performing his own material, creating the persona of “The Weizel,” a character that quickly appealed to young audiences. While playing small roles in such movies as 18 AGAIN and PHANTOM OF THE MALL, Pauly honed his comedy routine to a frenetic level, gaining the attention of MTV. In 1990, the network gave him his own show, TOTALLY PAULY. Pauly rose to national attention during a strong four-year run on MTV, also revealing his comedy chops on the 1993 HBO special “Pauly Does Dallas.” His initial success on television led to a three movie deal with Disney, beginning with the box-office hit ENCINO MAN, co-starring Sean Astin and Brendan Fraser.

Pauly followed up ENCINO MAN with the comedies SON-IN-LAW, IN THE ARMY NOW, JURY DUTY and BIO-DOME. In 1997, FOX cast him as the freeloading son of a wealthy businessman in the sitcom PAULY.

Shore’s first comedy album, “The Future of America,” was named Best Comedy Album by the College Music Journalists, while his second album, “Scraps from the Future,” earned a Best Comedy Album nomination from The National Association of Record Merchandisers. He followed up with albums “Pink Diggly Diggly” and “Hollywood, We Have a Problem.”

In 2003, Pauly produced, wrote, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed, PAULY SHORE IS DEAD, a semi-autobiographical mockumentary in which he satirizes the perils of Hollywood. In the film, Pauly loses everything and decides to fake his death in a quest for post-mortem adulation. He called in a lot of favors to get the project made and managed to wrangle star cameos from the likes of Sean Penn, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Dre, Clint Howard, Perry Farrell, Fred Durst, Verne Troyer, Andy Dick, Mark McGrath, Jerry Springer, Montel Williams, Sally Jessy Raphael, Kurt Loder and Paris Hilton, to name a few.

Next, Pauly returned to TV in the TBS reality series, MINDING THE STORE, which he produced as well as starred in. This was followed by a notable recurring part, as himself, on the hit HBO series, ENTOURAGE. Pauly is featured in the soon to be released studio movie OPPOSITE DAY.

Pauly once again stepped into producer, director and star roles with the sketch comedy movie NATURAL BORN KOMICS, for which Pauly received the 2008 Entertainer of the Year Award from the Entertainment Merchants Association. In 2008 Pauly also expanded into the worlds of cyberspace and journalism with the Ripe TV VOD series PAULY SHORE’S AMERICA, in which Pauly explores various news stories with his own unique and irreverent style. For his first assignment Pauly went to Texas to cover the polygamist scandal.

Pauly Continues to tour the world with his stand-up comedy. He can be seen in the comedy special PAULY SHORE AND FRIENDS this Fall on Showtime. He has just finished filming the upcoming Happy Madsion film BORN TO BE A STAR featuring Nick Swardson.

Pauly continues to produce and direct, with his latest feature Adopted, having just been released in June, 2010. In the film, satirizes the phenomenon of celebrity adoptions as he travels to Africa to adopt an African baby. In addition, he has several short subject films and multiple projects in the works such as his MTV pilot called “The Shores” and Various projects with Will Farrell’s website FUNNY or DIE .

Rising from the streets of New York's ghettos to television superstardom, Jimmie Walker personifies the great American success story. His catch phrase "Dyn-o-mite!" is part of the modern vernacular, and he became such a major celebrity in the 1970's that Time Magazine named him "Comedian of the Decade.

Walker was born on June 25th, 1947, on the mean streets of New York's South Bronx. At the time it was a poverty-ridden area notorious for its burned-out buildings, graffiti and crime, but to a very young boy, it was nothing more than "the neighborhood." Jimmie didn't grow up with thoughts of performing as a potential occupation. His life in the Projects centered around the basketball courts and ignoring school. Basketball was his first love, but at age fifteen, Jimmie only carried 129 pounds on his six foot frame, and the NBA wasn't calling.

He left high school before graduating and joined the workforce, holding a number of odd jobs, including working as a vendor at Yankee Stadium. Walker eventually landed a delivery job at the Grand Union Market at a salary of $47 per week - before taxes. Even though he was working all day, Jimmie wanted to continue his education, so he made an arrangement with his boss to end his shift a little early and attend Theodore Roosevelt High School at night. He entered into the federally funded SEEK program, short for Search for Education, Evaluation and Knowledge, which accepted students who needed an educational "half-way house" as they climbed the educational ladder. His studies at SEEK focused on mathematics and literature. At age 19, Walker had some catching up to do with his grammar lessons, but his writing skills became stronger when he began writing for a class in Oral Interpretation—and along the way, he discovered he was funny. When he delivered one piece he'd penned to his SEEK classmates, they howled! When asked by one appreciative teenager, "Are you a comedian?" Walker answered, "I guess I am." And with that, the first seeds were sown for Jimmie Walker's comedic fame.

Upon completion of the SEEK program, Jimmie began to learn about the world of radio at the RCA Technical Institute. He started as an engineer, which required a first-class license that was available only through hours of study and by passing a test. Within a year he had earned his first-class ticket to the future. Jimmie walked into a small local radio station, WRVR, and was immediately hired as a part-time engineer at a salary of $100 per week.

In 1967, he improved his "day job" by moving up to WMCA radio for $250 a week, but performing comedy was still something he wanted to try. A mutual friend introduced him to The Last Poets, a group dedicated to performing militant poetry. They needed an opening act and after a successful audition, Walker opened for the Poets at the East Wind in Harlem on New Year's Eve. He did five minutes of standup, floored the crowd of 350, and stayed with the Poets for 18 months while he built his act and gained confidence as a performer. By 1969, Jimmie was on stage at the African Room in Manhattan along with a few other up and coming talents, including Bette Midler, David Brenner and Steve Landesberg. Brenner was the first to get his big break and then helped Walker and the others, moving them all to Budd Friedman's Improv in New York where they occasionally got some valuable stage time. Brenner and his "disciples" soon turned into crowd favorites and became regulars onstage. To top it all off, Walker spent a year as the youngest MC in the history of the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem.In those early days, doing "The Tonight Show" was a direct line to the Big Time. Brenner made it first, followed by Landesberg, Midler and Freddie Prinze, but by 1972 Jimmie still hadn't landed that "big break." Then Brenner, Landesberg and Midler, scheduled for the powerhouse "Jack Paar Show", refused to appear unless Walker was also given a spot. The Paar staff gave in, and were glad they did. Jimmie's first guest shot was successful beyond anyone's expectations. Dan Rowan, who had seen the show, immediately flew Jimmie to Los Angeles to guest on a "Laugh In" special. That was followed by a second guest spot on "Jack Paar", and a contract with CBS to perform each week as the audience warm-up for the sitcom "Carlucci's Department."The series of successes gave Walker the confidence to give up his day job, and in 1972 he was working as the main attraction in all the top comedy clubs. His soaring popularity prompted Time Magazine to name him "Comedian of the Decade".

Spotted by the casting director for Norman Lear of "All in the Family" fame, Jimmie accepted a part in Lear's new urban-styled comedy series, "Good Times." The role of the broadly strutting, wisecracking J.J. Evans would launch him into television superstardom. "Dyn-o-mite!" was the phrase that made him famous nationwide. As "Good Times" enjoyed a six year run, Walker's fame grew exponentially. He was the first winner of the NAACP Image Award, and won a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He appeared on The Mac Davis Show, Donny and Marie, The John Davidson Show, The Merv Griffin Show, Dinah, The Mike Douglas Show, The Hollywood Squares, and the Match Game. Clothing, tee-shirts and even a talking doll that blurted out his signature catch phrase were soon on store shelves everywhere.

Even with his demanding schedule, Jimmie continued to appear as the headliner at top comedy clubs, including the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. His joke writing team included a young David Letterman, Jay Leno and Byron Allen.

Walker's television work would lead to movie roles, like boxer Bootney Farnsworth in "Let's Do it Again," co-starring with entertainment luminaries Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. Jimmie also released a smash comedy album, "Dyn-o-mite!" that went gold. When "Good Times" ended in 1979, Aaron Spelling offered Walker a starring role in the short-lived "B.A.D. Cats" and returned to cast him again in 1983 in "At Ease", an ABC series about a bunch of United States Army misfits. He also landed choice roles in films like "Airplane!" and "Airport '79", and was a regular on television shows like "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island". In recent years he's made scene-stealing appearances on "The George Lopez Show", "Everybody Hates Chris" with Chris Rock, and "Scrubs".

But despite all Jimmie's success on the big and small screens, stand-up comedy remains his first love. Walker currently tours the country 35 to 45 weeks a year performing live, and appearing as a guest on game shows and late night television. In his spare time he writes scripts for TV and movies, and continues to enjoy a comedy career now approaching five decades.

John began his stand-up career in the comedy clubs of Cleveland and Pittsburgh in 1997. After graduating from Kent State University, he left behind a lucrative career patching potholes to take his talent to the left coast. There, he spent the next four years working the door at the world famous Comedy Store by night and cutting grass at a local golf course by day.

Cap’s first big break came at the 2003 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he impressed the industry observers enough to offer him a sitcom deal. It was then he was able to officially trade in his weed whacker for a microphone full-time. John is now applying his blue-collar work ethic to the stage, where he performs nearly 365 nights a year. He shares, “I wanted to be a comedian because it’s the best way to tell the world how you really feel. I also figured it was the only way I was ever going to be laid.” In retrospect though, he states, “Now I wish I had learned how to play guitar.”

John has made multiple appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, done a half-hour Comedy Central Presents and performed as part of Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation in 2007 with Bill Engvall. The problem now is that John is often compared to Larry the Cable Guy. He shares, “I love all my blue-collar comedy fans because I can relate to them, and that's pretty cool. But the next jackass who yells ‘Git 'er dun’ at me is gonna git 'er throat punched!”

In 2008, John’s first feature film, Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show (also starring Jon Favreau and Justin Long), was released by New Line. The comedy documentary followed Vince and 4 stand-up comics as they toured the country. Moving forward, John went on to host the CMT series Mobile Home Disaster and his one-hour special Meet Cap premiered to great numbers on Comedy Central and Warner Bros. just released his CD/DVD.

Most currently in addition to touring nationwide, John can be seen alongside his pal Chelsea Handler as a regular on her E! hit show Chelsea Lately. John shares, “It's like hanging out at my buddy's house and getting a check for it! It really is the most fun I've had since I got into comedy. I've known Chelsea since we were both doing 6-minute spots in the attic at The Comedy Store. I never thought she really liked me. Come to think of it... I'm still not sure.” Now, through his success on the show, John will be hitting the road in 2010 with The Comedians of Chelsea Lately national tour.

In addition to his work as a comedian, John, to many known as Cap, is starting to make his mark in animation. He will voice the role of “Headphone Joe” in the upcoming Disney Channel series Fish Hooks. He’s also got supporting roles in two upcoming 20th Century Fox features, Marmaduke and Rio.

The future has never looked brighter for this talented, young comedian who has always been proud that his fans come from all different walks of life. John believes that honesty is universal and the essence of comedy is being able to tell the world how you really feel in a funny way. Amen to that.

Emmy-nominated actor Rob Schneider, well known for his trademark blend of character and comedic acting, has broadened his focus to include directing, producing and writing.

Schneider recently completed principal photography on “The Chosen One,” a drama he co-wrote. He stars as a man whose life is about to change after reaching the end of his rope. Schneider also co-produces with John Schneider through their production company From Out of Nowhere.

Earlier this year, Schneider made his directorial debut in “Big Stan.” He also starred in the comedy as a con man sentenced to prison alongside David Carradine.

Schneider is well known for his longtime relationship with Adam Sandler and Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison. Schneider has starred in several Happy Madison projects, including “Bedtime Stories,” “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan,” “The Benchwarmers,” “50 First Dates,” “The Longest Yard,” “Eight Crazy Nights,” “Little Nicky” and “Mr. Deeds.” Also for Happy Madison, Schneider co-wrote and starred in “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo,” “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” “The Hot Chick” and “The Animal.” Other film credits include “Shark Bait,” “The Waterboy” and “Big Daddy.”

Schneider began writing jokes as a teenager, appearing at local venues. After opening for comedians such as Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld, he made his major network television debut in 1987 on “The David Letterman Show.” In 1990 Lorne Michaels saw Schneider’s appearance on HBO’s “13th Annual Young Comedians Special” and hired him to be a regular on “Saturday Night Live.” During his four seasons at “SNL,” Schneider was nominated for three Emmys and a Peabody Award.

Schneider is an active supporter of several charities. He founded “The Rob Schneider Music Foundation,” which helps provide music education for middle school and high school students. Schneider was born and raised in San Francisco. He lives in the Los Angeles area.

It was only natural that Finis would go into show business. His father was a successful song and dance man and one time Vice-President of Sammy Davis, Jr. Enterprises. Being exposed to that kind of talent and encouragement, he followed up with formal training at the Chicago School of the Arts and Columbia College. In his early days Finis was a member of two Chicago singing groups, entertaining audiences all over the city. "First," he says, "I joined the Chicago Community Music Foundation. Then several members of that group got together, and we formed the Weapons of Peace." That group eventually recorded an album on the Playboy label. In 1980, he moved to Los Angeles, where he formed an alliance with Al McKay, former rhythm guitarist/composer of the supergroup Earth, Wind & Fire. He worked with McKay for several years and started doing comedy at night.

He says that every comedian hopes to be discovered on some magical occasion, and that breakthrough occurred for him in 1981 when he took to the stage at the famed Comedy Store in West Hollywood on Audition Night. "It was a star-studded night with people like Sally Field and Richard Pryor in the audience. After a bit of clowning around, to my amazement, Richard Pryor came on stage. Then Robin Williams came on stage. We do an improv together, and that's the first night of many nights things happened like that." Soon afterwards, celebrities started coming to the Comedy Store to see Henderson perform, and, on a night he will never forget, he got a special telephone call from Pryor's office, "Richard wants you to be his opening act for the filming of "Live On Sunset." This opened the door for opportunities of association with many other great superstars His growing popularity led to a recording contract with Motown Records. "I was with Motown from 1983-85," he says. "They brought me in like gangbusters, but I was there when the company was going through turmoil. There were personnel changes, and they were moving into motion pictures. My first album sold well." Henderson performed in the films Wired and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka. His television credits include performances on 227, Bustin' Loose, Dance Fever and Nashville Now.

Matt Davis is a firm believer that nothing is sacred… nothing is safe.

For over a decade the 28 year old comedian has been mocking conventional thinking and the status quo through his faced paced and often irreverent performances. Believing nothing is “off-limits” his material ranges from the taboo and unspoken to the simple facets and truths of everyday life all spun together by an off track train of thought at full steam ahead.

After first taking the stage at 17 Matt honed his writing and performance skills as the house emcee at The Comedy Club Stardome, a 450 seat plus venue averaging eight shows a week, where he was fortunate to work with such comedy great as Dave Attell, Dave Chappell, Kevin Pollack, and countless others. He has since performed in 2000 seat theaters working with artists such as Dwight Yoakam; and has gone on to log his own headlining dates at some of the best comedy clubs and venues in the country (The Funny Bone in Pittsburgh, The Punchline in Atlanta, The Stardome in Birmingham, AL to name only a few). He’s worked from Seattle to the Bahamas and everywhere in between. Including a two month stint as the requested feature performer on the “Mo Show” in Las Vegas where the Las Vegas magazine called his erratic on stage behavior like watching a “tightly wound spring.”

In 2005 Jagermeister sponsored Matt Davis for a four-month tour at the end of 2005 through the beginning of 2006. Around the same time, as a member of the writing team 5 Guys in a Garage, Davis was instrumental in the digital licensing of Jabtv.com's catalog of animation and live action shorts. As he continues to both promote existing projects and develop new ones with 5 Guys in a Garage, Matt is also collaborating on several projects with others as well as writing and producing his own short films.

Matt also hosts and produces the bi-annual “Sinner’s Banquet” shows, and was the opening act for (and is featured in the behind the scenes of) Dave Attell’s “Your Mouth’s Not Pregnant” DVD. In 2007 Sony’s Crackle.com awarded Matt an Editor’s Choice award for his stand up video touching on Valentines Day, Pirates, and Prince’s Half Time performance.

History of The Comedy Club

For the past 28 years entertainment has been on his mind and Birmingham has been his realm. From bringing the first mechanical bull to the magic city to serving laughter full time, he has finally found his home at The Stardome and his name is Bruce Ayers.

In 1975 until 1978 he worked his way up the somewhat shaky rock and roll nightclub ladder from Bartender to Door Manager at The Cobblestone on Morris Avenue. From 1978 until 1983 he evolved along with the nightclub Brentwoods, becoming the General Manager as the club became Cassidy’s and then the ever so popular Singles.

In 1983 The Comedy Club opened on Highway 31 with a capacity of 200 seats. Unknowns such as Tim Allen, Sinbad and an opening act named James Gregory took the stage and introduced people of Birmingham to live stand up Comedy. In 1985 moving to a bigger location The Comedy Club landed on Green Springs Highway and had a capacity of 300. March 13, 1993 a blizzard hit, a fire started and The Comedy Club was destroyed.

In October of 1993 The Comedy Club became The Comedy Club Stardome and located itself in the heart of Hoover. Along with acquiring 420 seats, Bruce also obtained banquet facilities, VIP Skybox seating and a Las Vegas Style Showroom. He was awarded Birmingham’s Small Business Man of the year and The Comedy Club Stardome became The Number One Comedy Club in the Country.

Open 6 nights a week and being a full service restaurant and bar, The Comedy Club Stardome continues to serve up the people of Birmingham with first class entertainment and four-star service.

The Comedy Club Stardome is family owned and operated. With his wife Che Che Ayers at his side and daughters, Gina Zimmerman as Accounting Manager, Dena Dow as Marketing Director. Bruce continues to strive to provide excellent customer service and keep laughter flowing in Birmingham.
