David Scott, the Midnight Swinger, is Swinging onto Stardome's Stage Oct. 7-12!

The Midnight Swinger David Scott Call him cocky, call him confident, but never call him dull. The Midnight Swinger erupts onto the stage like the volcano in front of the Mirage Hotel in a fresh and original, over the top event that has been called “sharp-witted,” “clever” and “classy.”
Putting the show back in showman, the Midnight Swinger combines the style and cool of a ’60s Las Vegas performer with the flash and excitement of a 21st century Super Bowl halftime extravaganza. More than just a stand-up comedian, the Midnight Swinger is proud to be called a throwback entertainer. That’s right, an entertainer!

The Swinger believes in more than just standing behind the microphone and telling jokes, and doing more than just a simple “comedy show.” The Midnight Swinger puts on a spectacle that leaves the audience LAUGHIN’, SINGIN’ and SWINGIN’. The Swinger always wears the sharpest threads no matter where he is performing, and stylin’ and profilin’ with an oversized pompadour. The Swinger will be the first to tell you, “Damn, I Look Good,” his battle cry before, during and after every show. The never subtle or soft spoken Midnight Swinger heats up the room as he puts on a classic Las Vegas style show filled with great comedy, music, singing and dancing. And when the show is over you will walkout with a smile on your face yelling DAMN I LOOK GOOD!

The Midnight Swinger has performed his show for presidents and CEOs of companies such as Rockwell, Burger King and John Deere, to mention a few. The Swinger prides himself on learning about the company or group and writing material specific for that event. “I believe personalizing the show makes it much more fun and enjoyable for everybody. Some entertainers will just do their show, which is fine for them, but I want people to be talking about my show for days after. One of the greatest rewards is when people come up to me wondering how I knew so much about the company and was able to write jokes just for them.”

One of the biggest concerns facing hiring an entertainer for a corporate event is: Will they be dirty, will they offend the people at the event? The Midnight Swinger has been entertaining for over thirteen years, performing for crowds as different as the late show in Las Vegas to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Indiana. “It’s important to me that everyone have a good time, but I believe you can be funny without having to resort to being dirty.”

The Midnight Swinger’s Vegas-style show is the perfect show for any corporate event or gathering. Professional and reliable are just a few of the words some have used to describe The Midnight Swinger. Funny and outrageous are the words people have used to describe his show. David Scott will be at the Stardome Comedy Club Oct. 7-12.

Dominique from the Chapelle Show is Coming to Stardome's Stage Oct. 3-5!

What is there to know about Dominique? Well, if you're interested in high - powered comedy, there is everything to know, from clubs across the country to Comedy Central's hit "CHAPELLE's SHOW" she's showing America what a comedienne is.

She began honing her skills unprofessionally as a civil servant on the nightshift as a postal worker at the now infamous Brentwood Postal facility in her native Washington D.C. "I knew something like that was gonna happen. I used to see all kinds of stuff that terrorist could use come through that post office. But that was back in the good ole' Timothy McVeigh days", she quips about the nation's anthrax scare. Boredom with the job and fear of going postal gave way to open mic nights at local clubs at the behest of friends and co - workers. She immediately gained a reputation for telling it like it is; raw and uncut and unknowingly garnered a loyal following. Washington's uppity audiences gravitated toward her mixture of politics, street culture and current events. Her strong presence and a bravado rarely seen in female comics quickly gained the attention of the producers of HBO's "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam", the show that changed comedy forever. She went from shuffling mail to working with the likes of Chris Rock in no time. "I didn't do anything special. I just talked about what I knew and the next thing you know I'm on T. V. I quit that job and took about 20 books of stamps. I figured they owed me." She never looked back.

Sensing that she had outgrown DC's small comedy scene, she moved to the Bronx, which wasn't a far cry from the Southeast, and became a fixture at the clubs in New York City. Places like the "Comic Strip" and "Stand Up New York" served as testing grounds for her new material. On a chance Wednesday night at a small club on the lower eastside she met Saturday Night Live's Tracy Morgan who made Dominique his opening act for his run at Caroline's on Broadway Comedy Club. The two formed a friendship and have been working together ever since. Being Tracy's feature however wasn't enough to keep the bills paid so Dominique became what she calls a 'hustler', performing all over die country to make ends meet. From Caroline's in New York to The Improv in Miami to LA's Laugh Factory, and every club in between, Dominique has wowed audiences with her straight forward wit and comedic standpoint reminiscent of Mom's Mabley.

A run on the highly successful Def Comedy Jam Tour and numerous television appearances including the fresh new "Comic Groove" on Comedy Central, the legendary "Showtime at the Apollo" and the controversial "Comic View" on Black Entertainment Television prompted a move to Los Angeles. Upon arrival, Dominique began making the rounds in Hollywood's comedy clubs as well as the smaller lesser known clubs in LA. "I like telling jokes in mainstream clubs as well as underground spots cause it keeps me fresh no matter where I am". And fresh she is. She has become a club staple and continues to tour clubs and colleges around the country. Since 1998, Dominique has been a headliner on the RJE Comedy Cabaret Tour www.comediandepot.com, the largest and highest grossing college/ university based comedy tour. She has participated in Urban Internationals Comedy Arts Festival better known as Jamie Foxx's "laffapalooza" as well as the Don "DC" Curry's "Bay Area Comedy Competition" in Oakland. After Two (2) years of study, she added acting to her resume when she landed a part in the critically acclaimed indie "Thirty Years to Life".

These are the things to know about Dominique, she's a class act from stage to film, she's a woman with a strong point of view and a strong way of telling it and she's ready for whatever those in the know throw her way. Dominique will be coming to Stardome's stage Oct. 3-5.

The "Funniest & Hottest" Comedian in America is Coming to Stardome Sept. 18-21!!

With her irreverent brand of overtly sexual humor she attempts to break down troubling double-standards and lend her voice to women everywhere. April would like to add that she doesn't really know what irreverent means, but she's heard a lot of other comics use it and thought it sounded kinda' cool.

April Macie travels the world collecting stories and experiences, which she then translates into humorous, relatable tales in front of audiences worldwide. April has been to over 23 countries, 12 of those performing stand-up comedy (not fellatio) for the troops, was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2006, has appeared on E! Entertainment, Fuel TV, HSN, Sirius and XM Radio, Bob & Tom, Access Hollywood, and was labeled an "emerging talent to watch" by the Hollywood Reporter at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2005. April is a regular guest on the Howard Stern show, where in 2008 she was voted the “Funniest and Hottest” comedian in America. She is currently in the documentary, “I Am Comic” which premiered at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival and is currently airing on Showtime and will also be appearing on Showtime in the stand-up special "Vegas Is My Oyster" premiering August 5th. Currently, she spends most of her time traveling the United States as a headlining stand-up comedian.

April has slapped a boyfriend on the toilet for renting out their home for porn shoots, stood on the North Korean border, entertained troops next to the detainee camp in Guantanamo Bay, imported a young Englishman for the summer, only to see him turned away at the border months later for overstaying his visa. She has had numerous crappy jobs-including: a nanny, Hooter’s waitress, clowns assistant, telemarketer – fired from all of them, occasionally smokes weed out of an apple and goes to Chucky Cheese with her friends, thinks double standards are ridiculous and hopes to change the world by empowering women, “One dick joke at a time.”

April Macie will be coming to the Stardome stage September 18-21.
