Get Ready Cats & Kittens, The Midnight Swinger is Coming to the Stardome!!

Call him cocky, call him confident, but never call him dull. The Midnight Swinger erupts onto the stage like the volcano in front of the Mirage Hotel in a fresh and original, over the top event that has been called "sharp-witted," "clever" and "classy.

Putting the show back in showman, The Midnight Swinger combines the style and cool of a 60's Las Vegas performer with the flash and excitement of a 21st century Super Bowl halftime extravaganza.

More than just a stand-up comedian, the Midnight Swinger is proud to be called a throwback entertainer. That's right, an entertainer! The Swinger believes in more than just standing behind the microphone and telling jokes, and doing more than just a simple "comedy show." The Midnight Swinger puts on a spectacle that leaves the audience LAUGHIN', SINGIN' and SWINGIN'.

The Swinger always wears the sharpest threads no matter where he is performing, and stylin' and profilin' with an oversized pompadour. The Swinger will be the first to tell you, "Damn, I Look Good," his battle cry before, during and after every show.

The never subtle or soft spoken Midnight Swinger heats up the room as he puts on a classic Las Vegas style show filled with great comedy, music, singing and dancing. And when the show is over you will walkout with a smile on your face yelling DAMN, I LOOK GOOD!

The One, The Only...D.L. Hughley is Coming to the Stardome!!

One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the feature film and television arena.

D.L. has appeared in the Aaron Sorkin drama series for NBC "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and released a one-hour comedy special on HBO entitled "Unapologetic." In addition, you will find D.L. hosting the new BET hidden camera reality series, "S.O.B. Socially Offensive Behavior." The show is described by BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin as a show that uses "hidden cameras to test the value systems of people." D.L. will is also the host of the second season of the wildly popular "Def Comedy Jam" series on HBO.

D.L. Hughley spent four successful years starring in his own sitcom "The Hughleys," and he shows no signs of slowing down. In 2005-2006, D.L. hosted his own late night talk show for Comedy Central "Weekends at the DL." The talk show fulfilled one of D.L.'s dreams to host his own late night talk show. Also Comedy Central aired D.L.'s one-hour comedy special "Shocked and Appalled." On the CD side, D.L.'s long-awaited comedy CD Notes From the GED Section is currently available.

In addition to some exciting television developments, D.L. took a serious turn with his work, starring in the drama "Shackles." In the film, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Fest, D.L. plays a high school teacher who is hired to teach at a provisional school for inmates, and becomes faced with a talented but troubled young poet. In addition to his success in tv, it seems that film audiences seem to respond to Hughley on the big screen as well. Hughley wowed audiences in 2001 in "The Brothers," co-starred in "Cloud Nine" opposite Burt Reynolds and will next be seen in the film "Doubting Thomas."

It was the mega-hit ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY that launched D.L. into superstardom. The film, based on the 1999 tour featuring D.L., Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, garnered close to $40 million at the box office and became one of the highest selling DVDs in 2001. In 1999 comedians D.L., Bernie, Steve and Cedric embarked on this national tour, which sold out most of the major concert arenas in over 50 cities across the country and went on to gross a staggering $37 million dollars nationwide. Spike Lee, eager to expose the tour to a larger audience, made a docu-film of the tour, and it was released nationwide to rave reviews.

D.L. has undoubtedly proved himself as one of the hardest working men in showbiz. In addition to his growing film resume, D.L. continues his reign on the standup comedy front, filling out concert arenas and headlining.

Within these pages you will find hilarious stories from his childhood and learn more about what makes Bruce Bruce one of the most popular comedians in the business today.

Bruce’s comedy can actually be traced back to when he was working as a chef directly out of high school. He would entertain his customers with his humor while cooking up mean BBQ dishes.  Bruce also worked as a Frito-Lays salesman and did everything from shelf placement to performing his comedy sets during their corporate meetings.  Eventually, Bruce brought his comedy routine to the Comedy Act Theater in Atlanta and was an instant hit.  When BET’s Coast to Coast came to town searching for new and talented stand-up comedians, Bruce would pursue the opportunity to appear on the show and would incessantly audition at each club in the area.

Ultimately, he appeared on the show three times.  In 1993, Bruce made his first appearance on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam; followed quickly by an impressive appearance on the Showtime at the Apollo hosted by Steve Harvey in 1994.  Bruce was asked back to the Apollo two more time in 1995.

His career skyrocketed from there.  After receiving the highest ratings ever as the Host of “BET’s 10th Anniversary Comic View” for two seasons, Bruce returned to the BET family as the two-time host “Coming to the Stage.”  Bruce went on to star in his own “Comedy Central Presents” special which he followed with an Urban Works Entertainment release of his one-hour comedy special DVD “Bruce Bruce Live”.  On the big screen, Bruce has created crazy characters like the “Lime Pimp” in Hair Show starring Mo ‘Nique, and “Dewayne” the lovable security guard in The Wash starring Snoop Dog and Dr Dre.  He also appeared in Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, and recently appeared with Ice Cube in XXX: State of the Union.

Bruce’s bigger than life personality has transcended his personality onto the music video scene as well.  He has made guest appearances in videos with Ludacris and the Ying Yang Twins (after being named in their hit song “Salt Shaker”).  He appeared in the monstrous 1996 summer hit “Come On Ride the Train (Ride It)” by Quad City DJs and can also be seen in Outkast’s music video “So Fresh, So Clean.”

Bruce’s memorable festival appearances include the prestigious Black Film Festival in Acapulco (2001), the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal (2000 /2003), Laffapalooza in Atlanta, GA (1999-2002) and the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen (2002).

When not performing in comedy clubs across the country, Bruce divides his time between his homes in Atlanta and Los Angeles.  He is also extremely dedicated to his incredible car collection, which includes two Harley Davidson trucks and four Buick muscle cars, among others.
